What is your first thought when you see the term PhD? Scholar! A knowledgeable person! It’s true that not all people are alike, and not everyone has to be an academic. But, as followers of Christ, we should continue to grow in knowledge. This kind of knowledge is about God and Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:2, 3), and it will lead us to understand the will of God and guide us to live a godly life. The most blessed thing is that the pursuit of spiritual knowledge will eventually help us to grow in our character.
Let’s ponder the words of Peter.
5But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, (2 Peter 1:5 NKJV)
Let’s pose a question to God. “Could You help me to gain knowledge in Bible reading?”
