What are the signs of end times?
Jesus told His followers, 14And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. (Matthew 24:14 ESV)
1) The Time of His Second Coming
29“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. (Matthew 24:29–30 ESV) It is worth mentioning that the Lord Jesus will not immediately return to earth after the proclamation of the Gospel throughout the whole world. By referring to Matthew 24:29 to 30, the Lord Jesus will return to earth immediately after the end of the Great Tribulation.
2) Gospel of the Kingdom
John the Baptist
John the Baptist preached that people should repent of their sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near. (Matthew 3:2 NLT) Also, he pointed out that Jesus Christ was the Lamb of God who took away the sin of the world (John 1:29).
The Great Tribulation
Some Bible scholars have pointed out that during the Great Tribulation, “this gospel of the kingdom”preached by the followers of Christ have two emphases: First, the coming of the Messiah is near. Second, the Gospel offers people salvation by grace through faith based on the blood of Christ. Let me point out one thing, there has been only one Gospel. Dear friends, Jesus Christ the Messiah is about to return to the earth, and this is a clear prophecy to the world. The Gospel is the good news and promises of God. Jesus Christ is the Saviour of all humankind and that is indeed a great news. In addition, people cannot meet God’s requirements and standards, but God promises to offer forgiveness and salvation to those who trust in Jesus Christ. Human beings aren’t that trustworthy as they might not keep their promises. Since God is trustworthy, He will forgive our sins just as He has promised, and this is an unchanging fact. Dear Christians, the time of Christ’s Second Coming is closely related to your evangelistic efforts. If we call ourselves Christians, we should try to spread the Gospel to our relatives and friends. If you think you don’t know how to share the Gospel message with others, then you have to equip yourself with the necessary tool, and the easiest way is to introduce my website to non-believing friends.
3) God’s Gracious Love
God does not Procrastinate
9The Lord does not delay His promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9 HCSB) I am an impatient person; thus, I don’t like people who are slow. If a football team is leading by one goal at the end of the game, the players will intentionally slow down the game. They will try to keep the ball but will not attack. It is one of the time-consuming tactics that a winning team often use. The Lord Jesus is slow to return to the earth, not because He has forgotten about the whole thing, but He wants people to have more time and opportunity to listen to the Good News, hoping that they would seize the opportunity to repent and accept His saving grace.
God Loves the World
Before the Second Coming of Jesus, God still motivates His followers to continue to preach the Gospel, which shows His love and affection for human beings. Many people misunderstand God, and numerous individuals see Him as a fault-finding judge who likes to punish people. In fact, God is a kind father; He not only tolerates us, but He is also willing to give us the opportunities to repent.
4) The Determination of Believers
The Appearance of the End Times
14And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. (Matthew 24:14 ESV) The appearance of “the end” is directly related to Christians. As believers are trying their best to spread the Gospel to the world, their actions act as a prelude to the return of Jesus Christ to the earth. Bible translation is a difficult job. As you know, some languages have no written form; the missionaries have to spend many years in creating written languages so that some ethnic groups could have their own Bibles. There are still 1.5 billion people in the world who do not have the full Bible available in their first language, but over 700 million of these have the New Testament. In other words, more and more people can read and understand the Gospel message. In the work of translating the Bible, we could see that Christians are determined to spread the good news to the non-believing communities.
The Great Tribulation
During the Great Tribulation, the followers of Christ are determined to evangelise and will risk their lives to witness for Christ (Rev. 12:11). Many people have watched the film Titanic, but they do not know a true Titanic story. The Hollywood filmmakers invested a large amount of money to produce this romantic film, but did not know a real touching story. The story was about John Harper, the pastor of the Moody Church in Chicago. As Titanic was sinking, the pastor was drifting on the turbulent sea, he still seized the opportunity of preaching the Gospel to a young Scotsman. Although the pastor died, the young man believed in the Lord Jesus and was rescued. Later, he gave his testimony in a meeting in Hamilton, Canada. Pastor Harper did his part, and spread the good news until he died; this is truly a good reminder to believers nowadays. During the seven years of tribulation, many Christians will also risk their lives to witness to the world that Jesus Christ is the Saviour.
5) The Second Coming

The Signs of End Times is a series of 10 messages. The first message is about the appearance of false christs, and only Jesus Christ is the Messiah, meaning that He is the only Christ. In God’s predetermined time, He will come again.

The second sign of end times is the rumours of wars, indicating that human beings love wars instead of peace.Jesus is not only the King of kings, the Lord of lords, but He will also bring eternal peace when He returns to the world.

The third sign of the end times is the increasing numbers of famines; of course, food for our physical bodies is important, but we need to have spiritual food for our souls. Most importantly, only Jesus can satisfy the needs of our souls.
The Signs of End Times 4
The fourth sign of the end times is the increasing numbers of earthquakes, showing that the earth will be out of control one day. Jesus Christ calmed the storm, proving that He is the Lord of all things in the universe. Praise God that He is in control of everything.
The Signs of End Times 5
The fifth sign of the end times is the anti-Christian trend that the Devil is working behind it. As Satan is hostile to God, he will give the followers of Jesus hard times. There are sufferings in the world, but the Lord Jesus has overcome the world (John 16:33).

The sixth sign of the end times is the appearances of many false believers. Dear friends, there is always a bad apple in a batch. Similarly, there would be false believers in churches. Therefore, you should not completely reject Christianity because you have encountered bad believers. Dear Christians, let us determine to follow Christ faithfully throughout our lives.

The seventh sign of the end times is the appearance of false prophets; Jesus Christ is the greatest spokesperson of God and His teachings is the Truth.

The eighth sign of the end times is lawlessness will be increased. Although people will become totally lawless one day, Jesus is still the Truth and the Head of the Church.
The Signs of End Times 9
The ninth sign of the end times is that people will become lovers of self. Sad, isn’t it? However, the Lord Jesus still loves us to the very end, and His love is unchangeable.
The Signs of End Times 10
The tenth sign of the end times is worldwide evangelism, showing that God is very concerned about human beings. If you are not a believer in Christ, are you willing to accept the Gospel now? Dear Christians, are you willing to spread the Gospel?
