Not Blind Faith (i365 Day 351) 2.0

Soon after I had become a Christian, some of my friends and relatives challenged my faith out of good intention. Since I openly announced that God called me to become a pastor, they wanted to make sure that I wouldn’t regret later in my life.

Since day one as a follower of Jesus Christ, I have the habit to scrutinise my faith from time to time. Definitely, my faith is not uninformed. Even when I was a new believer, I compared Christianity with other religions. Also, I tried very hard to understand difficult Bible passages; and for this very reason, I spent many long hours in studying trustworthy Bible commentaries. Certainly, my belief is not blind faith, as I don’t believe in something without evidence.

After Jesus Christ performed the miracle in Cana of Galilee, the disciples believed in Him. As you can see, faith is based on facts and experiences. If you are a non-Christian, please find time to scrutinise Christianity before rejecting the Christian faith altogether. If you claim to be a Christian, please review your faith. Let’s ponder John 2:11.

Ponder

11Jesus performed this first sign in Cana of Galilee. He displayed His glory, and His disciples believed in Him.(John 2:11 HCSB)

Pose

Let’s pose a question to God. “Dear Jesus, can You help me to grow in my faith?”

Practice

Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray that you can grow in your faith.

Proclaim

Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. During dinnertime, share with your family how you have grown in your faith.
