Whether rain or shine, a young man joyously looked forward to walk to church every Sunday morning. Although he didn’t know much about the Bible, he knew well that he was going to God’s House to worship Him and to fellowship with His people. By the way, the young man was me.
In unusual times like COVID-19, most worshippers cannot attend church services like before. Although we cannot go to a church building to pray, to sing, to hear God’s Word, let’s remind ourselves that we are still engaging in worship online. There are two verses in Isaiah that reminds the proper attitude that worshippers should have. Let’s ponder Isaiah 66:1–2.
Ponder
1Thus says the Lord: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool; what is the house that you would build for me, and what is the place of my rest? 2All these things my hand has made, and so all these things came to be, declares the Lord. But this is the one to whom I will look: he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at my word. (Isaiah 66:1–2 ESV)
Pose
Let’s pose a question to God. “Dear God, can You teach me how to engage better in online worship?”
Practice
Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray that you can engage better in online worship.
Proclaim
Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share with your family your way to engage better in online worship.
