Because of COVID-19, people cannot travel as freely and extensively like before. Some keen travellers have almost travelled around the Globe, if there wasn’t any pandemic, they would have departed for another trip. Unfortunately, due to old age or ill health, most travel enthusiasts have to stop travelling one day.
Our health will fail us one day, but as followers of Christ, do you know that we will have a new body in the future? The Apostle Paul compares his body to a worn-out earthly tent, and his physical body is soon to be destroyed. With a firm faith in Jesus Christ, he knows for sure that he will have an eternal heavenly body when he ends his life on earth. Let’s ponder his words.
Ponder
1For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling, 3if indeed by putting it on we may not be found naked. (2 Corinthians 5:1–3 ESV)
Pose
Let’s pose a question to God. “Dear God, as I am still waiting to enter Your glorious presence, can You help me to faithfully live for You on earth?”
Practice
