I cannot tolerate the COVID lockdown. I feel trapped. I feel vulnerable. However, one thing I enjoyed was that I could take a stroll with my wife. Occasionally, we went for a walk after dinner, and because of that, we could witness the glorious sunset! The beauty was beyond words!
There is a Bible verse related to sunset. Paul uses it to illustrate an important truth about anger. It’s natural that we would get angry, but the Apostle reminded us do not let the sun go down on our anger. If we don’t control our anger, the devil could use it to hurt us and others.
Let’s ponder the teaching of Paul.
Ponder
26Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27and give no opportunity to the devil. (Ephesians 4:26–27 ESV)
Pose
Let’s pose a question to God. “Dear God, could You help me to tackle my anger?”
Practice
Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray that you can overcome your anger.
Proclaim
Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share your control over anger with a friend.
