Missing Your Mother? (i365 Day 318) 2.0

After becoming a pastor of all these years, I can identify more with the pain of others. One of the saddest scenarios is to see children losing their mothers at a very young age. The absence of the loving presence and care of their mothers is an unbearable experience. For sure, these poor little ones will miss their mothers forever!

The Apostle Paul and his colleagues feed and care for believers like a nursing mother. Let us be determined to grow into a better caregiver. As for those female believers, you can act as a mother-figure for children, especially for those who miss their late mothers. Let’s ponder the reminder of Paul.

Ponder

6Nor did we seek glory from people, whether from you or from others, though we could have made demands as Apostles of Christ. 7But we were gentle among you, like a nursing mother taking care of her own children. (1 Thessalonians 2:6–7 ESV)

Pose

Let’s pose a question to God. “Dear God, can You give me the determination to grow into a better caregiver?”

Practice

Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray for the determination to grow into a better caregiver.

Proclaim

Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share your recent pursuit of being a better caregiver with another believer.
