Warming Up (i365 Day 304) 2.0

Before vigorous exercise, warming up is very important, as it might help reduce muscle soreness and lessen your risk of injury. When I was a young lad, I didn’t know much about warming up, and often underestimated its importance. Because of that, I repeatedly ended up with sports injury.

Shortly before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, a series of events will appear on the world stage, and there will be an escalation of persecution against Christians. Regrettably, in the closing stage of the end times, all believers who profess their faith in Jesus Christ will encounter persecution of some type. What should Christians do now? My advice for you is to do the warming up now! “Get ready” is the key!

Let’s ponder Mark 13:9–13.

9“But be on your guard. For they will deliver you over to councils, and you will be beaten in synagogues, and you will stand before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them. 10And the gospel must first be proclaimed to all nations. 11And when they bring you to trial and deliver you over, do not be anxious beforehand what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit. 12And brother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death. 13And you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. (Mark 13:9–13 ESV)

Let’s pose a question to God. “Dear God, could You help me to get ready for the closing stage of the end times?”

Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray that you will be ready for being persecuted.

Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share your preparation for being persecuted with a fellow Christian.
