How do you interpret the following phrase: “the beginning of the end”? According to Merriam Webster Dictionary, it means the start of a series of events that leads to the end. The first coming of Jesus Christ marks the beginning of the end. He will kickstart a series of events that leads to the end. Let me name a few events. The death and resurrection of Christ marks the event of salvation. He has prepared a place for His followers, and He will return and take them there. We call this event the Rapture. After that, the seven-year of great tribulation will follow on earth, and it follows with His Second Coming. For sure, the King of kings, the Lord of lords, will rule and judge all the living and the dead. In short, Jesus Christ is the beginner and finisher of our salvation.

Let’s ponder Hebrews 1:1–2.

Ponder

1Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, 2but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. (Hebrews 1:1–2 ESV)
