Greater than Alexander the Great (i365 Day 278) 2.0

What drives a person to conquer the world? Some people are overly ambitious and they think they are more superior than other races. On the other hand, certain conquerors had a strong desire to rule over others. Alexander the Great wanted to conquer the whole world. He believed himself to be the half-human son of of the god Zeus, and his ancestry contributed to his success. Has he succeeded in conquering the world? The answer is “Not yet”!

Satan is a fallen archangel. He uses the world as his territory of influence. Through the unbelieving world, Satan uses the non-Christian force to pressure and persecute the followers of Jesus Christ. However, according to Jesus, Satan has already been judged and defeated (John 16:11). With an affirmative tone, Jesus proclaims His ultimate victory over Satan and the antichrist system. And for this very reason, Christians need not fear, but have courage to live every day. All in all, Jesus Christ is far greater than Alexander the Great!

Let’s ponder the words of Jesus Christ.

Ponder

33I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble and suffering, but take courage—I have conquered the world.” (John 16:33 NET)
