Time and time again, I have to refer to the user manuals for the proper usage of my equipment. Although many user manuals are thick and heavy, and some of these documents are difficult to comprehend, we need them anyway.
Numerous individuals desire to build up their character, and many folks want to be a better person. While it’s a commendable wish, we need to have the right manual for our spiritual growth. The Bible is the designated manual for the spiritual formation of God’s children. Let’s ponder the several functions of the Bible.
Ponder
16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16–17 NIV)
Pose
Let’s pose a question to God. “Dear God, could You help me in understanding Your Word?
Practice
Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray that you will continue to understand the Bible.
Proclaim
Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share your new understanding of a Bible passage with a new believer.
