The presentation of an Olympic Gold medal is the one-time event of any athlete, but the way to achieve it is an ongoing process. Since winning an Olympic gold medal is their ultimate goal, they will train very hard, day in and day out.
Similarly, Christian faith is not an one-time event. The Apostle Peter reminds the believers that Christians must continue to grow in Christ’s grace. The starting point of this ongoing process of spiritual growth begins by knowing Jesus Christ as Saviour, and it continues in one’s deepening relationship with Him.
Let’s ponder his words.
Ponder
18Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All glory to him, both now and forever! Amen. (2 Peter 3:18 NLT)
Pose
Let’s pose a question to God. “Dear Jesus, could You teach me how to continue to grow in Your grace?”
Practice
Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray that you can continue to grow in the grace of Jesus Christ.
Proclaim
Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share your experience with a fellow Christian, as means of encouraging him or her.
