Although 2020 is not over, many people have already stated that it’s a really bad year. Not long ago, two consecutive bad years appeared, which some people called it financial tsunami, or the financial crisis of 2007 – 2008, or the global financial crisis. Back then, numerous people lost almost everything around the world!
Money comes and goes. A multi-billionaire might end up as a pauper one day. Gold and silver have only temporal monetary value. On the contrary, the power of the blood of Jesus Christ has already transformed billions of lives and will continue to impact lives on earth. All in all, its value lasts forever.
Concerning the blood of Jesus Christ. Let’s ponder the words of Peter.
Ponder
18For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, 19but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. (1 Peter 1:18–19 NIV)
Pose
Let’s pose a question to God. “Dear Jesus, could You teach me to treasure the salvation that You have granted me instead of temporal riches?”
Practice
Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray that you can treasure your salvation in Jesus Christ.
Proclaim
Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share your new insight with a new believer.
