Who doesn’t like to be loved? Love is good, but loving the wrong thing, inappropriate object or incorrect person is the problem.
God doesn’t forbid people to have money, but the greed for it causes all kinds of harms (1 Timothy 6:10). Pastor John F. MacArthur says, “To love money is to have an unhealthy affection for it and be driven to pursue it.”
How do we know we are spiritually healthy? One simple thing is to check on your perspective on money. If money has become your master, then your spiritual health is in serious trouble! Let’s ponder the warning of Jesus.
Ponder
24“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. (Matthew 6:24 NIV)
Pose
