Someone with wits wrote the following house rules:
If you drop it – pick it up;
If you sleep on it – make it up;
If you wear it – hang it up;
If you spill it – wipe it up;
If you turn it on – turn it off;
If you open it – close it;
If it rings – answer it;
If it whines – feed it;
If it cries – love it.
God grants His people house rules. On one hand, we can understand His mind and standard through His rules. On the other hand, we can have a better life on earth. Exodus 20 contains the Ten Commandments. Let’s ponder God’s house rules.
1And God spoke all these words: 2“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. 3“You shall have no other gods before me. (Exodus 20:1–3 NIV)
Let’s pose a question to God. “Dear God, could You give me the determination to keep Your house rules?”
Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray for the determination to keep God’s house rules.
Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share your endeavour of keeping God’s house rules with a fellow believer.
