Dysfunctional families are all around the places. It’s sad to hear that certain family members kept fighting until their last breath on earth. I truly understand that there are no perfect fathers and mothers, but I believe normal parents love their children anyway. For their parents’ sake, alienated siblings should stop bickering.
In reality, some church members would not stop arguing with one another. If they stop and ponder the fact that Jesus Christ loves them all, and for this very reason, they should cease their enmity towards each other. As Christians share the same love of Christ, we should stay united.
Let’s ponder the teaching of Paul.
Ponder
1Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate? 2Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose. (Philippians 2:1–2 NLT)
Pose
Let’s pose a question to God. “Could You teach me how to love a person that I don’t like?”
Practice
Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray that you can love a person that you don’t like.
Proclaim
Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share your experience with a believer.
