He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother (i365 Day 208) 2.0

A little Scottish girl was trudging along, carrying a boy as big as herself. A bystander remarked that he must be heavy for her to carry. Her immediate response was “He isn’t heavy. He’s my brother.” Some people romantically linked this story with the once very popular song “He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother”, but no one knows whether it is true or not. The lyrics depicts that his brother wouldn’t be an encumber or a load to him. To sum it up, the song speaks of affectionate and brotherly love.

The Bible places love and loving relationship in the highest regard. Broadly speaking, all humans are our distant brothers and sisters; thus we should love and care for one another. Let’s ponder the words of Peter.
