For the past several years, I have spent time reviewing my old sermons and resources. My conclusion is that there is much room for improvement. I am a person who is not satisfied with my old articles, sermons and dated gadgets. As for me, nothing is the best forever. Getting better is always my motto!
I am glad the teaching of Peter somewhat echoes with my perspective in life. Peter speaks of the improvement of one’s character in his letter. Let’s ponder his words.
Ponder
5For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, 6and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, 7and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. (2 Peter 1:5–7 ESV)
Pose
Let’s pose a question to God. “Lord, could You help me to improve my character?”
Practice
Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray for the determination and strength to improve your character.
Proclaim
Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share with a Christian the steps that you have taken to improve your character.
