Mere Spectators (i365 Day 200) 2.0

During the COVID-19 lockdown, everything seemed dormant. Sports fans and spectators are disheartened because there were no sports events going on. By the way, do you know the major differences between fans and spectators? Spectators might regularly watch the games at home or at the stadium, but they do so for their own enjoyment. As for the fans, not only they cheer on their favourite teams, they pay big money going to the stadiums on a regular basis. But the most important trait is: they are making sacrifices for their teams! In a nutshell, fans are active participators.

In the arena of faith, God calls believers not to be spectators but participators. Christians should be active participators instead of passive spectators. Let’s ponder the words of James.

Ponder

22Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. (James 1:22 NIV)

Pose

Let’s pose a question to God. “Could You teach me how to actively participate in Your Kingdom building?”

Practice

Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray that you can actively participate in God’s Kingdom building.

Proclaim

Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share your improvement at heart and in action with a believer.
