I Simply Cannot Understand (i365 Day 185) 2.0

Teachers often ask their students, “Any question?” Some students are too shy of asking questions in public, because they don’t want others to think that they are stupid. Others pretend they understand everything. But for those who honestly admit that they cannot understand, will eventually master the subject.

Likewise, no one cannot understand the whole Bible. Also, nobody would become a Christian if they cannot understand the redemption of Jesus Christ. It’s true that our knowledge and wisdom are limited, but we can always draw near to God, whose wisdom is unlimited. If you have a faith question, ask God!

Let’s ponder the words of Isaiah.

Ponder

28Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. (Isaiah 40:28 NIV)

Pose

Let’s pose a question to God. “O God, why do good people suffer and wicked people prosper?”

Practice

Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray for the understanding to your faith question.

Proclaim

Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. After understanding a certain Biblical truth, tell a friend about it if you have the chance.
