The Entrance (i365 Day 171) 2.0

Are you looking for a new home? If you go for house-hunting, what features would you look for in a house? Before you can get into the house, you must go through the door. If the house owner doesn’t open the door for you or give you the permission to get inside, you would be stranded outside.

Jesus Christ speaks of Himself as the door for the sheep (John 10:7–9). With such a pictorial language, He wants to point out that He is the founder and Saviour of the Church. Without His redemptive work on the cross, no one can have a father-child relationship with God. Let’s ponder Romans 5:1–2.

Ponder

1Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2through whom we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in the hope of God’s glory. (Romans 5:1–2 NET)

Pose

Let’s pose a question to God. “Many of my relatives and friends are outsiders of the Christian faith. Could You teach me how to lead them to know You?”

Practice

Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray for the wisdom and opportunity of leading your relatives and friends to know Christ.

Proclaim

Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. After showing somebody that Jesus is the door of the Church, share your evangelistic experience with a believer.
