Father and Son (i365 Day 173) 2.0

While sitting and watching the television alone, a father and son scene moved a man to tears. Deep inside, he still misses his late father. Somewhere in another part of the world, a bloke didn’t give a toss to his late dad. It is evident to his siblings that he was the most favourite son, but his heartless responses to their father bewildered them.

Joseph was the most favourite son of Jacob (Genesis 37:3). At the passing of his father, Joseph bawled out his eyes. This is the most natural response of a son to his father (Genesis 50:1–2).

It’s Father’s Day again! No matter what kind of father-son relationship or father-daughter relationship that you have, show your love to your dad before it’s too late. Let’s ponder Genesis 50:1–2.

Ponder

1Then Joseph hugged his father’s face. He wept over him and kissed him. 2Joseph instructed the physicians in his service to embalm his father, so the physicians embalmed Israel. (Genesis 50:1–2 NET)

Pose

Let’s pose a question to God. “Could you teach me how to love my father?”

Practice

Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray that you can express your love to your father in a better way.

Proclaim

Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share your experience with a friend.
