It’s quite common that most individuals want to be rich. As for many people, they equate happiness with money. With this reason in mind, people don’t care if they end up as villains as long as they can acquire a lot of money. In a nutshell, they simply don’t care about reputation.
In the Book of Proverbs, the author encourages the readers to choose a good reputation over great riches. This is an important truth that we should not take it lightly. Let’s ponder Proverbs 22:1.
Ponder
1A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, and favor is better than silver or gold. (Proverbs 22:1 ESV)
Pose
Let’s pose a question to God. “Dear Lord, can You let me see a good reputation is far better than great riches?”
Practice
Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray that God will help you to develop a good reputation among friends and relatives.
Proclaim
Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Speak to your pastor about your determination of developing a good reputation among friends and relatives. Ask him or her to remember you in prayers.
