It’s quite hard to be united as one people, but unusual things do happen. In recent history, the unification of West and East Germany in 1990 is one of the rare examples.
The Bible speaks of one of the most extraordinary feats that God did in human history: through the redemptive deed of Jesus Christ, God unites non-Jews and Jews as one people. Let’s ponder Ephesians 2:11–17.
Ponder
13But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ. (Ephesians 2:13 NLT)
Pose
Let’s pose a question to God. “Can You give me the experience of being united with Christians of other ethnicities?”
Practice
Let’s practice what you learnt. As all believers are united in Christ as God’s people, learn to pray and support other Christians other than your own ethnicity.
Proclaim
Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share your new insight with a Christian and encourage him or her to do likewise.
