Tears (i365 Day 123) 2.0

His wife told him that she was pregnant with his child. Lovingly, he wrote a love song about it. The first few verses are as follows:

If I could save time in a bottle
The first thing that I’d like to do
Is to save every day
Till Eternity passes away
Just to spend them with you

If the songwriter could save time in a bottle, he wanted to spend the time with his wife. What an affectionate thought!

As human beings, it’s normal that we shed tears when we are emotionally overwhelmed. The beautiful thing is that God has kept our tears in a bottle. It is a poetic way of saying God cares and loves us very much! Let’s ponder Psalm 56:8.

Ponder

8You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book? (Psalm 56:8 ESV)

Pose

Let’s pose a question to God. “Lord, I am hurt now. Can You keep my tears in Your bottle?”

Practice

Let’s practice what you learnt. When you are hurt, pray to God is a practical way of asking Him to keep your tears in His bottle.

Proclaim

Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share your experience of God’s comfort with a non-believer.
