My Only Beloved Son (i365 Day 121) 2.0

My ministry completely depends on the computer. As I have one and only one functioning computer, without it my ministry would come to a halt. If someone came to ask me to donate my precious computer to the underprivileged, I would have to think about it very carefully.

Finally, Abraham and Sarah had their own son, but God asked him to offer his only beloved son as an offering. What does God want from Abraham? Let’s ponder Genesis 22.

Ponder

1After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, “Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.” 2He said, “Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” (Genesis 22:1–2 ESV)

Pose

Let’s pose a question to God. “Why did You ask Abraham to offer his only beloved son as an offering?”

Practice

Let’s practice what you learnt. Bear in mind that God does not want to hurt you in any way. Offer something or even yourself to God might seem to be very difficult at first but you would eventually benefit from the process.

Proclaim

Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share your experience of offering with a fellow believer.
