How is your relationship with your father? Numerous adults wouldn’t give you a direct answer and would even evade this topic altogether! Apart from the fact that all of us have birth fathers, sadly, many unfortunate sons and daughters just don’t have a good relationship with their fathers.
Many scholars have already pointed out that fatherlessness is epidemic in our society. As a result, more young lives would be broken, and more families would be ruined down the road. But, don’t lose heart, because there’s a Heavenly Father who is always available for us. Jesus Christ often reminds us there is a Father in heaven who is ready to embrace us anytime. Let’s ponder His words.
Ponder
26Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? (Matthew 6:26 NLT)
Pose
Let’s pose a question to God. “Can You embrace me with Your presence?”
Practice
Let’s practice what you learnt. Treasure the truth that you have a Father who is in heaven.
Proclaim
Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Tell a non-Christian friend that you believe in a God who is your Father.
