Empowered by The Holy Spirit (i365 Day 113) 2.0

There are unseen forces in this world. Although we cannot see COVID-19 with our naked eyes, it’s real and destructive. Because of this horrific virus, numerous precious lives were lost, many old and young are sick, and is causing financial crises around the world.

Many Christians underestimate the importance of the Holy Spirit in their lives. Although we cannot see the physical presence of God’s Spirit, His spiritual presence and ministry is exceedingly essential to us. There are three primary ministries of God’s Spirit in the lives of Christians. First, believers are regenerated by the Holy Spirit, enabling them to connect with God. Second, Christians are empowered by the Holy Spirit that they can live a life pleasing to God. Third, servants of God are empowered by the Holy Spirit in ministry.

In Philippians 2:13, God energises believers by His Spirit (ref. 2:1), so that they can live a life pleasing to Him. Let’s ponder this verse.

Ponder

12Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear. 13For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. (Philippians 2:12–13 NLT)

Pose

Let’s pose a question to God. “God, can you energise me with Your Spirit?”

Practice

Let’s practice what you learnt. Ask God to empower you to lead a Christlike life.

Proclaim

Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share with your spouse that you have experienced the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
