Throughout church history, God has called Christian men and women to serve Him as missionaries. Broadly speaking, all Christians should see ourselves as missionaries, as we are called to take up the mission of Christ. We might have to go somewhere faraway, but we could also stay home to accomplish a specific mission which is designated for us.
Let’s ponder Acts 13:2-3.
Ponder
2While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” 3So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off. (Acts 13:2–3 NIV)
Pose
Let’s pose a question to God. “Jesus, do you have a specific mission for me?”
Practice
Let’s practice what you learnt. Find more time to pray and read the Bible in order to seek for your specific mission.
Proclaim
Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Once you are clearer with your specific mission, share with your pastor and ask him or her to pray with you.
