Absolutely! (i365 Day 109) 2.0

As God is holy, no human beings can have a relationship with Him without being holy (Hebrews 12:14). And because of that, Jesus Christ came to save us from sin and its consequences. Through the death of Christ, believers are set apart as God’s people. This is positional sanctification (Hebrews 10:10, 14, 29). As Christians, we should become holier. This is progressive sanctification (1 Pet. 1:16), and this is exactly what Jesus talks about in John 17:17, in which God’s Word lays the indispensable foundation for our sanctification. Eventually the ultimate sanctification of Christians will take place in heaven (Ephesians 5:26–27; Jude 24–25). Nevertheless, while followers of Christ are still on earth, we should absolutely work hard to become holier; and the Bible is the road map for holy living! Let’s ponder the words of Christ.

Ponder

17Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. (John 17:17 ESV)

Pose

Let’s pose a question to God. “Dear Jesus, can You give me the determination to live a holy life?”

Practice

Let’s practice what you learnt. Start your new day with the following prayer: “God, give me the determination to live a holy life.”

Proclaim

Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share your experience with a fellow believer.
