You probably don’t realise that you put faith in people as well as something on a daily basis. For example, you believe your car will start in the morning. If you commute by public transportation, you would put your faith in the train or bus and the drivers that can bring you to work. As for your lunch, you would believe the food that you order in the restaurant is clean and safe for your consumption.
Genesis 12 is a story about faith in God. God called Abram to commence a life journey that needs to have faith. God is trustworthy all the time, thus putting our faith in Him is sound. Let’s ponder the words of Genesis 12.
1Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. 2And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. (Genesis 12:1–2 ESV)
Let’s pose a question to God. “How can I continue my faith journey as I have doubts in You?”
Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray for faith as you continue your life journey.
