There are couples around the world who desperately want to have their own babies. They have tried and tried but to no avail. If there’s a fertility doctor promises that they would have a child next year, it surely is a promise too good to be true!
In the Bible, there is a couple who wanted to have their own son. They were Sarah and Abraham. One day, God appeared to Abraham and promised him a son. At that instant, he couldn’t believe God’s promise.
Let’s ponder Genesis 17:16-17.
Ponder
16I will bless her and will surely give you a son by her. I will bless her so that she will be the mother of nations; kings of peoples will come from her.” 17Abraham fell facedown; he laughed and said to himself, “Will a son be born to a man a hundred years old? Will Sarah bear a child at the age of ninety?” (Genesis 17:16–17 NIV)

Let’s pose a question to God. “Can You give me the faith to claim Your promise?”
Practice
Let’s practice what you learnt. As you come across a promise of God in Bible reading, pray for the faith to claim it.
Proclaim
Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. After experiencing God’s promise came true, share it with a seeker of Christ.
