Keeping God’s Word (i365 Day 76) 2.0

Anybody can claim to be a Christian, but how can we tell that his or her faith is genuine? The Bible offers many ways of distinguishing true and false believers, and one of them is by obedience to God’s commandments. If a person is truly a follower of Christ, he or she would obey God’s teachings wholeheartedly. Let’s ponder the words of John.

Ponder

4If someone claims, “I know God,” but doesn’t obey God’s commandments, that person is a liar and is not living in the truth. (1 John 2:4 NLT)

Pose

Let’s pose a question to God. “Can You grant me the obedience to keep Your Word?”

Practice

Let’s practice what you learnt. Underline the teaching that you read at your devotion and pray that you would keep it in the days to come.

ProclaimLet’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share your experience of keeping God’s Word with a fellow Christian.
