Confession (i365 Day 87) 2.0

A lot of people regard praying is asking God to supply our needs. And that’s why many people keep on asking God to meet their needs. However, praying has many other facets, and one of them is confession. The logic is simple: as God is most holy, as imperfect humans draw near to Him in prayer, it’s natural for us to find out our shortcomings before Him. Therefore, confessing our sins by means of praying is a natural outcome. Let’s ponder a Bible verse on confession of sins.

Ponder

9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9 ESV)

Pose

Let’s pose a question to God. “How can I be sure that I have been forgiven?”

Practice

Let’s practice what you learnt. Reflect on your day before bedtime, confess your shortcomings to God and ask Him for forgiveness.

Proclaim

Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share the joy of being forgiven to a non-believer.
