Due Diligence (i365 Day 33) 2.0

Thanks to Protestant work ethic, Western capitalism thrives. What is the work ethic behind this terminology? Its moral and social values are associated with Anglo-Saxon Protestantism in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Workers are encouraged to work hard and are responsible for their actions and thrift. Also, it encourages love of liberty and learning.

This kind of work ethic stems from the Bible. The Apostle Paul is a good example of a diligent worker. Let’s ponder God’s Word.

Ponder

9For you remember, brothers, our labor and toil: we worked night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, while we proclaimed to you the gospel of God. (1 Thessalonians 2:9 ESV)

Pose

Let’s pose a question to God. “Do I have a good work ethic?”

Practice

Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray that you could have the determination to work hard.

Proclaim

Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share your struggles and successes in work with your family members.
