Long before I became a pastor, I worked in a prestigious company. Most of my colleagues weren’t followers of Christ and they had different work ethics than mine. When the bosses were around, some of them seemed to be working hard; but when the bosses weren’t around, they acted as if they were on a vacation. Ever since I became a Christian, I understand work and service go hand in hand. In short, I see my work as service to Christ. Let’s ponder God’s Word.
Ponder
5Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ. (Ephesians 6:5 NLT)
Pose
Let’s pose a question to God. “Lord, how can I work for a mean boss as if I am serving You?”
Practice
Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray and ask for strength and wisdom before work.
