A country’s tourism board would portray the fascinating side of her city. I think it is unlikely for them to mention the urban problem of homeless people on their pamphlets and website.
Homelessness is a serious social issue that we must tackle in every city. Homelessness is painful! Homeless people have to face harsh living condition and severe weather regularly, simply because they have nowhere to turn to!
Before I became a Christian, I would consider myself a homeless person spiritually. I am so grateful that Jesus has saved me and I will go to the home that He has prepared for His followers. Let’s ponder God’s Word.
Ponder: 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. (John 14:3 NIV 2011)
Pose: Let’s pose a question to God. “Lord, why do I have a homeless feeling in my heart?”
Practice: Let’s practice what you learnt. Treat your church as your spiritual home.
Proclaim: Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share the Gospel with people who are homeless spiritually.
