Back in my childhood years, there was a football player who was nicknamed Jesus. He didn’t get this label because he acted like Jesus. The reason is that, since he had a beard and long hair, football fans called him Jesus. Back then and even now, many people still view Jesus as a Caucasian with a beard. I don’t blame these people because throughout the centuries, countless painters portrayed Jesus Christ as a white man. Definitely, Jesus wasn’t a European white man but a Middle Eastern Jew. As people didn’t have smart phones in the times of Christ, they couldn’t take a picture of Jesus for our reference. I would like to point out His looks matters least, but who He is matters most! The Bible affirmatively states that Jesus Christ is God’s Son and the Saviour of the world. Let’s ponder Paul’s doctrinal statement on Jesus.

9For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him. (1 Thessalonians 5:9–10 HCSB)
Pose
Let’s pose a question to God. “Dear Jesus Christ, can You use me to channel the Gospel to my nonbelieving friends and relatives?”
