When studying in England, Rev. Kenneth J. Thumb came to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and was later called to pastoral ministry. He received his theological training in Hong Kong and USA, and had served in churches and Christian organizations in Hong Kong and Canada respectively; he is the founder of Kenneth Thumb Ministry. He is married with a daughter. 在英國求學時，譚約珥牧師於當地信主及蒙召作傳道。他先後在香港及美國接受神學教育，並且分別在香港及加拿大於福音機構及教會事奉；他是譚約珥事工的創辦人。譚牧師已婚，育有一名女兒。
