11Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.

12His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself.

13He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God.

14And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses.

15From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.

16On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.(Revelation 19:11–16 ESV)

My heart and prayers go out for all the victims and their families of the Epstein files. The scandal has already caused havoc and will continue to do so around the world. What Jeffrey Epstein and his associates did were beyond evil and despicable that words cannot describe, which demands a just and thorough investigation. Since so many famous and powerful people are associated with the deceased Epstein, it has already triggered political turbulences in different parts of the world.

Not long ago, the US President threatened to invade or to annex Greenland. According to the normal political principles and practices, it was rude and illogical. Not only this unthinkable thought is against international law and it would turn allies into enemies as well.

We have just past the first quarter of the 21st century. For the past twenty-five years, numerous financial crises have already caused the world panic and pain. Let me name a few: The bursting of dot-com bubble in 2001, September 11, the Global Financial Crisis or the Great Recession from 2007 to 2009, and the COVID-19 recession. Due to lockdowns, the world had to suffer a global economic recession for a long period of time. In a word, the financial world is chaotic.

It is very true that there is no one size fits all. Generally speaking, almost all people believe their own religion is the best. There are all kinds of religion. Seven major religions are Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Confucianism, Christianity, Taoism, and Judaism. Understandably, we might not agree with what others believe, but we should respect their religion. However, even within a faith, there are different denominations and schools that they do not agree with one another and respect one another. In other words, the religious world is pretty chaotic. And because of that, many people around the world long for one world and one religion. These dreamers yearn for one single religion that will finally foster shared humanity and universal love, effectively turning the world into a single family.

After the rapture of the church, the whole world will become more chaotic. Widespread political and financial instability will be the norm. In such fearful times, people will desperately seek for a powerful leader to unite divided nations, to provide solutions and security. In times such as this, Satan will bring his conspirator to the world stage. When the time is right, the Antichrist will claim divinity and exercise authority over the entire world. Being empowered by the Devil, the Antichrist will rule over the world politically, religiously, and economically (Revelation 13:4–5, 15–18). We are living in a chaotic world. The political world is chaotic, and the financial world is the same. Additionally, the religious world is in chaos.  Can you see the stage is set for the appearance of the Antichrist?

The future might look gloomy now, but God will turn it around one day. At the second coming of Jesus Christ, the Saviour and the Messiah, will return physically to Earth in power and great glory, He will bring the power and rule of the Antichrist to an end.

The purpose of Jesus Christ’s first coming was to suffer for the sins of the world, die on the cross, and rise again, so that those who believe in Him will have eternal life. The essence of His second coming is to judge and to reign  (Zechariah 14:1–11; Revelation 19:11–16).
