Long Life Versus Short Life (i365 Day 308) 2.0

Certain godly people lived a long life, and some wicked one led a short and miserable life. However, this is not always the case; as pious individuals didn’t enjoy a long and happy life, but evil ones relished their longevity. We can only live once, whether we can live a long life or not, it isn’t up to us. Does life only boil down to the number of years that one might live? I guess the most important thing is the way of life that we choose to live – a God-centred life or a self-seeking life?

The Bible depicts a general observation, that is, the fear of the LORD adds length to life, but the years of the wicked are cut short. Let’s ponder Proverbs 10:27.

Ponder

27The fear of the Lord prolongs life, but the years of the wicked will be short. (Proverbs 10:27 ESV)

Pose

Practice

Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray that you can live a godly life.

Proclaim

Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share your wish of living a godly life with a fellow Christian.
