If you read the news today, the probability of reading stories about frauds is very high. It’s a sad thing that people use their intelligence to deceive others. Imagine if all humans use their brainpower to help one another, the world would be a much better place!
Paul reminded the Corinthian believers to use their spiritual gifts correctly. Also, he prompted them to be infants in evil, but in their thinking be mature. He said it for a reason. The Apostle wanted them to tackle evil with an infant’s mind, who doesn’t know evil, but at the same time, making sound judgement like mature people.
Let’s ponder his words.
Ponder
20Brothers and sisters, do not be children in your thinking. Instead, be infants in evil, but in your thinking be mature. (1 Corinthians 14:20 NET)
Pose
Let’s pose a question to God. “Dear Jesus, could You teach me how to tackle evil with an infant’s mind that doesn’t know evil?”
Practice
Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray that you can have a mature mind.
Proclaim
Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. During dinnertime, bring the subject of mature mind to your family, and share with them your recent understanding.
