Comforting Friend (i365 Day 34) 2.0

What are friends for? In the political arena, friends can be one’s temporary alliance. When the political scene changes, friends could easily end up as foes. In the business world, some people see friends as their partners in making more money and elevating their own power of influence. Here’s an English proverb: A friend in need is a friend indeed. The Bible speaks of what true friends are for: “A friend loves at all times”. (Proverbs 17:17 ESV)

The New Testament depicts Jesus Christ as our friend. He is always comforting when we are in distress! Let’s ponder God’s Word.

Ponder

22Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, “Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And instantly the woman was made well. (Matthew 9:22 ESV)

Pose

Let’s pose a question to God. “Jesus, can I be Your friend?”

Practice

Let’s practice what you learnt. Tell Jesus, your friend, your problem.

Proclaim

Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. After experiencing divine help, share your story with your friends.
