Do It Right the First Time (i365 Day 300) 2.0

Without the proper knowledge and gardening tools, I failed in growing my lawn. Deep inside of me, I moaned and groaned that I made the mistake of not doing it right the first time. By the way, do you agree with the principle of doing things right the first time?

Quite a lot of people are sorry for the mistakes that they made, and they want to make amends. Some confess their wrongdoings to their close friends, or even seek help from the religious leaders. Making amends for the mistake that we have made is good and important, but this is not enough. Do you know that Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world, has already appeared once for all at the end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself? Concerning dealing with our sins, we must do it right the first time, that is, turn to Jesus Christ for forgiveness!

Let’s ponder Hebrews 9:25–26.

Ponder

25Nor was it to offer himself repeatedly, as the high priest enters the holy places every year with blood not his own, 26for then he would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world. But as it is, he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. (Hebrews 9:25–26 ESV)

Pose

Let’s pose a question to God. “Dear Jesus Christ, could You forgive my sins?”

Practice

Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray to Jesus Christ for forgiveness.

Proclaim

Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share your experience of forgiveness with another believer.
