Human beings are complex beings. Whether we are aware of it or not, we all have physical, emotional and spiritual needs. If we couldn’t meet our needs, anxious thoughts would come uninvited. Uncontrolled anxiety can affect our daily living. Unfortunately, many individuals are suffering from anxiety disorder. There are so many professionals out there, helping people with anxiety. The Apostle Peter speaks of anxiety as well. Let’s ponder his words.
Ponder
6Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, 7casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:6–7 ESV)
Pose
Let’s pose a question to God. “Lord, can You teach me how to cast all my anxieties on You?”
Practice
Let’s practice what you learnt. Before a stressful event, pray that you would cast all your anxieties on God.
Proclaim
Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share your experience of anxiety management with a non-believing colleague.
