Everyone has his or her unique temptation today. As a toddler, he was being attracted to a specific toy at that particular moment; because of this temptation, he almost ended up in a fight with his sibling. A little girl wants an ice popsicle badly, and she is being tempted to steal money from her mother. A university student runs out of ideas for writing an essay, he is tempted to plagiarise. On a business trip, a husband met a beautiful woman at a bar; in a place far away from home, he was faced with sexual temptation. Friends, what’s your temptation today?

The Bible talks about temptation, and Jesus Christ is the perfect example for us to learn how to overcome it. Before the commencement of his public ministry, Jesus Christ was tempted by the devil, and He overcame all these temptations by several biblical principles. Let’s ponder Luke 4:12–13. 

Ponder

¹²Jesus answered, “It is said: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’” ¹³When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left him until an opportune time. (Luke 4:12–13 NIV) 

Pose

Let’s pose a question to God. “Dear God, can You help me to overcome my temptation today?”
