Fair Play (i365 Day 314)

Many people were promoted to a higher position, but did they do it with fair play or foul play? In a world hungry for power and success, countless individuals would intentionally exclude fair play from their dictionary.
The Apostle Paul talks about his ministry, and he uses sports as illustrations to describe it. As fair play is a must in sports, he speaks of the right discipline and mindset that he has in serving the King. Let’s ponder his words.
Ponder: 24Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. 25Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. 26So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. 27But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified. (1 Corinthians 9:24–27 ESV)
Post: Let’s post a question to God. “Dear God, can I learn to serve You with a better discipline and mindset?”
Practice: Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray that you can serve God with the right discipline and mindset.
Proclaim: Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share your improvement in ministry with a fellow believer.
