What Is Freedom? (i365 Day 285)

What is freedom? If you ask people around the globe this question, you would receive all kinds of opinions on social media. According to Concise Oxford English Dictionary, freedom is “the power or right to act, speak, or think freely.”
Is freedom free to do whatever you like? Do we really have freedom? Jesus told the bystanders that they need to have freedom. They aren’t having freedom because they are enslaved by sin. Knowing the truth of Jesus Christ as Saviour will for sure free believers from the bondage of sin and judgment.
Let’s ponder the words of Jesus.
Ponder: 32Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” 33They answered him, “We are Abraham’s descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?” 34Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. (John 8:32–34 NIV)
Post: Let’s post a question to God. “Dear Jesus Christ, could I experience the freedom that You talked about?”
Practice: Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray that you can experience the freedom that Jesus Christ talked about in John 8:32.
Proclaim: Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share your new experience with a friend.
