We cannot avoid to have enemies in our own small world, but how we should deal with them appropriately is a question that we need to ask ourselves. If a person came to you for advice on dealing with his enemy in business, how would you respond? In dealing with their enemies, a rabbi told his students to love them and to pray for them. What a strange way of dealing with enemies! This is what Jesus Christ taught His disciples. Let’s ponder the words of Jesus Christ.
Ponder:44But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. (Matthew 5:44–45 NIV)
Post: Let’s post a question to God. “Dear Jesus Christ, could You give me the determination to love my enemies?”
Practice: Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray for your enemy.
Proclaim: Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share your experience of praying for your enemy with a close friend.
