Lack of a Common Goal (i365 Day 255)

We expect to encounter all kinds of problems, whether in workplaces or communities. One of the many causes of relational breakdown is the lack of a common goal. If everyone is sure of one’s goal, one will collaborate with others in order to achieve their objectives together.
Like all other people as well, Christians do fight. It’s sad to see conflicts in churches. If they truly understand one of their common goals is spiritual maturity, they will fight less but cooperate more for this cause.
Let’s ponder Paul’s words.
Ponder: 13This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. 14Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. 15Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. (Ephesians 4:13–15 NLT)
Post: Let’s post a question to God. “Dear Jesus, could You teach me how to cooperate with my colleagues and fellow believers?”
Practice: Let’s practice what you learnt. Pray that you can work for spiritual maturity with other believers.
Proclaim: Let’s proclaim to others about your experiential knowledge. Share your experience with a new Christian.
